The backbone of any police department, the patrol division is responsible for providing police services to the 58,000 residents within the City's 48 square miles. The City is divided into eight patrol sectors. Three of these sectors are sub-stations. This reduces response time for the out lying areas of the city.

     Patrol vehicles are Ford Police Interceptors outfitted with mobile data terminals (MDT's) allowing officers to retrieve information on vehicles and individuals in a quick and efficient manner.
