TAUNTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

If your vehicle has been towed by the Taunton Police Department, you will need to come to Department Headquarters at 23 Summer Street to obtain a vehicle release form.  There is a $20 fee to obtain a vehicle release.  Cash only.  You will also need some proof on who you are such as a driver's license, and that you have authority to take the vehicle.

This fee is separate and distinct from any tow or storage fees assessed by the tow company.
